This morning I went to raise one and heard the weird quick noise and the shade would not raise because the spring is sprung. I don't know it is broken totally or not. I watched a video on You Tube on adjusting it so I rolled it by hand and finally got it to stay up. WebbWhen the roller shade is pulled down, the tension on the spring increases. The tension is maintained by a ratchet and pin when you stop pulling the shade down. On the other side of the roller tube, a free-turning pin is mounted into the bracket. During shipment, the spring will occasionally uncoil, so your blinds won’t work properly.
